At Urban Artistry we have 25 combined years of photojournalistic experience. As members of the Photojournalistic Association of Australia.. we grasp the true concept of photojournalism. To record a moment as it happens or to have the ability to pre-empt what is about to happen, is within itself, a true talent. Weddings are the ideal platform for the unexpected. Spontaneous wedding photos are as exciting as they are memorable.

Natural & Relaxed

Urban Artistry is aware that people may feel unsettled or even slightly awkward when being photographed. Our wedding photographers approach is to create a comfortable space where you are able to relax whilst being photographed.

This casual and relaxed atmosphere is achieved by utilizing many years of experience and technique. For example, a long telephoto lens achieves the distance between yourself and your photographer allowing you to unwind and be yourselves without having the photographer invading your physical and personal space. The photographer may ask you to perform a simple task such as holding hands and walking together. Whilst you are engrossed by each others company, the very notion of a photographer being in your presence will disappear, enabling us to capture a timeless moment.

Documentary

Your wedding day is such a significant and important part of your life. Wedding photography is a culmination of Portrait, Fashion, Photojournalism and Documentary photography. It is equally important for us to capture and document the historical aspects of your wedding as it is for us to capture stylised and glamorous photos.
Each time we squeeze the trigger and take a photo we are in turn freezing a moment in time. Those moments and photos will be cherished by you and by the generations that follow. We take comfort in the knowledge that our photography will be proudly displayed in your home and the homes of your families.

Non Intrusive

Can you imagine in the middle of ceremony being interrupted by your photographer to take that kiss again? I don't think so! At Urban Artistry we understand that your ceremony is a sacred event and there will be no interruptions on our behalf.
